Division 2 Keeps on Rolling...

D2 ended up with a 4-2 victory.  Massimo started us out early with a nice left footed shot that took a deflection and found its way in.  Luis challenged the goal keeper on a deflected cross and that found its way, too.  Will worked hard to find some space on the left side and drove in a low cross that found Geoff on the front post for a one-time finish.  The opponents got a goal off a poorly cleared cross late in the first half to make it 3-1 at the halfway mark.  The ref's decided to give a poor free kick on the left side, which was crossed in poorly as well, and when we had two players on the challenge to their one to the cross at the backside of the box, the ref decided to award a PK.  Poor Call.

Todd was on point, blocked the shot to his right and Gio cleaned up what should have been an easy tap-in off Todd's parry.  The opponents found another goal off a ball that was originally deflected and bounced around the box.  That made it 3-2.  We finally put the game away when Geoff found some space in behind the opponents back line.  Geoff took the ball to the biline and found Luis on the back stick for an easy one-time tap in.  We held off the opponents for the rest of the match.  D2 sits at the top of the tables with a 3-0-1 record good for 10pts.

Everyone contributed, Todd played as his usual self in the Goal, Terry was a Rock at the back, Will and Collin did an excellent job on the outside with help from Cornell as a sub.  Luis gave the opponents a handful and Geoff turned out to be our "super-sub" with a goal and an assist off the bench.
